Star Mountain is centrally located between Vancouver,
British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta. The Kelowna Airport
has regularly scheduled flights from all points across
Canada. From there a limousine service meets commercial
flights and transports passengers to Silver Star Mountain.
Approximate 1 hour travel time.
Silver Star Mountain is easily accessed from the Vancouver area via the Coquihalla Connector and Highway 97 to Vernon. From Calgary travel West on the Trans Canada Highway to Sicamous, then South to Vernon. From Vernon to the mountain is 22km (12 miles) on a paved road which is very well maintained during the winter months.
Vernon Winter Carnival in February runs for 10 days, starting from the first Friday of the month and offers ski races, dances, snow sculptures and many more exciting activities. Come and see 'what's under the snow', Silver Star Mountain boasts many summer activities such as mountain biking, horseback riding, in-line skating, hiking in the wonderful alpine meadows, fishing at Brewers Pond, and much much more. The Summit chairlift operates in these months for rides up and down. All within a footstep from our Chalet. |
